Mother’s Day is not for Moms. Yes, we get the attention and focus, but, more importantly, Mother’s Day is an opportunity for our sons and daughters to learn how a woman should be treated. Don’t miss this opportunity, Moms. You are your son’s first love. You are his first kiss and his first date. You teach him how to treat a woman and how he should be treated by a woman. Make the most of this opportunity to develop mutual love, respect, closeness, and gratitude. And Moms, our daughters have an opportunity on Mother’s Day to learn to respect and value other women, as well. Too often women’s relationships are about competition, cat-fighting, and gossip. We’ve got it all wrong! We must encourage, respect, and honor, one another. This must be taught. If we do not do this for each other, who will do it for us? So, Moms, as you enjoy some appreciation today, recognize that the bigger lesson is how our sons and daughters are learning to treat women. Dads, take note, and may this be a day of fostering love, respect, and appreciation, for and between women. Happy Learn How to Treat a Woman Day.
